So I met with the Pediatrician this morning. He said Riley does need to have surgery...so yeah that pretty much sucks! My poor baby...

  1. I'm so sorry Whitney!! It's for the best though. I'm sure the benefits of having surgery far outweigh the cons. Keep us updated though! Keeping you in my prayers!

  2. I am so sorry! That is so sad! I have been there and done that a couple of times now and it is no fun! But you will be surprised at how fast babies recover! There are amazing! When is it?

  3. I know how you feel. The best advice I can give you is this: after they take him back for surgery (which should be early, early in the morning) go down with your husband and get breakfast..... it really helps kill the time. Good luck! He is a strong kid and will do just fine.

  4. Good Luck you guys. I hope they are able to fix his hernia.

My little guy has been put under twice. . .its not as bad as you would think. Remember they are asleep and in no pain and remember none of it. Riley will do great.

I am praying for you guys. When is it scheduled for? Have they told you about the procedure?

  8. Sorry to hear that, Allen mentioned it the other day. Allen seems to think he'll be a strong boy and recover well, hope that eases you through this hard time. God only gives you what you can handle. Plus I was letting you know I made that Jello cake with the cool whip topping, so yummy! Thanks for posting it on your blog!
