38 week appointment

Today I am 38 weeks!  WOW!  I went to my appointment this morning and I am 70% efaced and dialated to a 1.  The baby is so very strong these days.  My ribs are so bruised that the pressure from just my bra hurts.  He sure loves to kick them.  All day yesterday and today so far he keeps kicking his heel out right by my belly button.  I can feel this little round bump and then he will push the whole foot out.  I can feel it roll from a ball and into his foot....if that makes any sense.  It is so crazy when I touch it because I can literally feel that it is his foot and I can see and feel the length of it and everything.  It's pretty dang cool!  Yesterday Allen felt him doing that with his foot and he said, "WOW!  I can like....feel my child!"  It was cute.  It was fun to actually feel a part of his body rather than just kicks.  It's kinda sad to know that the pregnancy is almost over but at the same time I am so anxious to hold him.  All I care about is that I don't spend Easter in the hospital.  I want to be home with my new baby on Easter morning.  Let's hope it works out that way!

So I changed the whole entire look of my FREE BACKGROUND website. You all know what it looked like before, and let's just say it needed to be changed. My fun project

I am working on a black one right now. They fit size 0-3 months. I am just dying because its so stinking cute. Now I just need to find some baby skate shoes and he will match his daddy! :)

Hi!

Last night Allen took me out on a date.  That was so sweet of him.  We went to Goodwood for dinner...ONE OF THE BEST PLACES IN THE WORLD!...and then we checked out a movie and came home and watched it.  Yeah I enjoyed my night with my hubby.  This morning I had to work and it is just getting so hard.  Its not like I do anything at work, but I am having a difficult time sitting still on a hard stool at a cash register.  For some reason my body is in pain when I leave work now and I am wiped out.  How?  How in the world does it exhaust me to sit on a chair?  I don't get it.  I am so excited to be done with work.  My last day of work is March 28th...I hope I can last that long.  I really love my job but its much easier sitting at home relaxing during these last couple weeks.  I absolutely LOVE it!  

The baby's kicks are stronger.  He doesn't have any room anymore to move around so when he does move, it really hurts.  I still love him!  I dread eating now because them he starts moving and I have to hold my stomach.  19 days left until the due date!

I posted a new recipe on my recipe blog yesterday.  Sorry that I haven't posted on that for awhile...I will try and be better!

More baby stuff

Allen and I bought our travel system during Christmas time but I only put it together last week. I got a little too anxious. I just love it so much and I enjoy looking at it.





I also got my diaper bag a few weeks ago. I LOVE IT! I love how its brown on the outside but has a cool print on the inside. I didn't want it to have a girly print on the outside so that Allen can carry it around without feeling weird. So here is the diaper bag...

and at the 37 week appointment....

I had my appointment today and there hasn't been any progress at all since last week! BUMMER! The doctor said its really common for women to eface a ton and then have no progress again until labor. So I guess we'll have to see if I stay the same again till next week. I listened to the heart beat again and it sounded really slow compared to normal and I asked the doctor if it was. He said it was on the slower side but that it would still be okay. It kinda made me nervous how slow it was compared to normal. So yeah I am still 60% efaced and dilated to a 1.

My email this week congratulates me on carrying my baby FULL TERM! Babies are considered full term at 37 weeks which is great to know he can come at any time and not have health problems from coming too early. It says that he is about 6 1/3 pound and over 19 inches long this week (giver or take). Also it says that his lungs should be fully developed and ready for the outside world. So YIPPEE!!

I am getting a ton of pelvic pains where my legs connect. I feel like I have worked them out so hard that I tore muscles or something...but I just know that its my body preparing for labor. Sometimes the pain is so intense that I don't want to walk. That mostly happens in the morning when I first wake up or if I have been relaxing for a long time. The baby is kicking and moving so much right now. It feels and looks like he is trying to find a way out! HAHAHA! Smart little kid! So yeah I am enjoying my last few weeks and can hardly wait to meet the little bugger!
